Main thing that sucks is that this has never happened apart from now so I don't even know how to replicate it

The odd thing is that the y position is entirely wrong, it's looking at y-0 from what I can tell but the block was placed at y-103. It has crashed previously but that was only during early testing before it was even placed.

Looks like when this crash happened blockstate existed in place that was previously held by barrel. My guess would be that server crashed and was restored from backup and there was this mismatch in data between blocks and their block entities where backup restored deepslate in that position but there was still block entity data for the barrel that existed there before crash.

ok then that sounds like some mod may be changing how block entities save because the position could in theory be changed. But just double checked and storage doesn't change that part from what is done in vanilla so it shouldn't be ovrriding the position by itself.

if there was a crash or something like that involved it's likely you won't be able to recreate it and there's no sense in trying to as it should be rare and when that happens some issues usually happen because of inconsistent save state.
