Mod Version: 1.15.2-1.2.0-15

I was just curious as to why the default value for dropExperience is set to "false", at least as I am playing it in the modpack FTB Omnia 1.7.0? I understand this might be an issue on behalf of the FTB team, but if this is as intended by the mod creator, what exactly was the reason?
