The wrong sound in the caves, the block is about the same distance
away (attached video), but the sound from breaking the block is like it's behind a wall.

I completely reinstalled the mod and the problem did not disappear. I have only installed this mod and the problem has not disappeared.

It works like it should. The block placement is just very unlucky with the rays. You can improve the sound evaluation by increasing the amount of rays in the config, but keep in mind that more rays will be a bigger impact on performance.
