Describe your issue.
i installed the latest versions (Sounds 1.1.5 + MRU 1.0.2) and get following error on launch:
Incompatible mods found!
net.fabricmc.loader.impl.FormattedException: Some of your mods are incompatible with the game or each other!
A potential solution has been determined, this may resolve your problem:
- Replace mod 'Mineblock's Repeated Utilities' (mru) 1.0.2+1.20.4+fabric with any version between 0.4.4+1.20.4 (inclusive) and 0.5- (exclusive).
More details:- Mod 'Sounds' (sounds) 1.1.5+1.20.4 requires any version between 0.4.4+1.20.4 (inclusive) and 0.5- (exclusive) of mod 'Mineblock's Repeated Utilities' (mru), but only the wrong version is present: 1.0.2+1.20.4+fabric!

Download the correct MRU version, it says in the error lol 0.4.4+1.20.4
is the MRU version you need.
and thats exactly the issue. modrinths auto-updater will keep updating to the latest version, because 0.4.4 is outdated. you have marked both Sounds 1.1.5 and MRU 1.0.2 as compatible with 1.20.4, but the mods themselves arent compatible with each other. ever since you started tinkering with the versioning, your mods keep breaking after every update. please come up with a reliable versioning system so that we dont have to manually downgrade to a working version after every single update.
Then disable modrinth's auto updater? Sounds 1.1.5 is not marked as compatible with MRU 1.0.0
Then disable modrinth's auto updater?
why should i disable a useful feature? i have nearly 400 mods installed, and they keep auto-updating without any issues. your mods are the only ones that regularly break.
Sounds 1.1.5 is not marked as compatible with MRU 1.0.0
thats literally what i said, and the whole reason why i submitted this bug report.
