Describe the bug
Sounds stop working after getting close to / being in the vicinity of Preservation Ruins. Breaking Calcite/Tuff/etc. block sounds stops working and other sounds die off (no deterministic order). Occasionally footsteps, block breaking sounds still persist

To Reproduce

Go digging
Encounter Preservation Ruin with bedrock-blocked entrance and other variants
Observe that sounds gradually stop working

Restarting the Minecraft client fixes the issue

Expected behavior
Sounds should work after encountering Preservation Ruins

I met similar problem when I got close to deepslate azurite ores.Going away from them,and swapping sound device could solve it,but if get close to them again,the problem appear again.
