Holding right click when releasing hotkey will prevent the spyglass from retracting

Mincraft v1.20.4, Fabric, Version v1.5
I have the spyglass outside of my hotbar/offhand, and when I press my keybind (x), it switches into the offhand (as expected)
When holding right click and releasing x, I continue to hold the spyglass until right click is released.
