Datapack or Config to "level up" fishing bar?

In base stardew you can increase the size of your bar, whether it being upgrading your rod or increasing your fishing level. It would be really cool if there were a stat you could add via datapack or config to level up fishing and increase the size of your green bar. I'm going to be running this with Tide, and Tide has a great fishing rod upgrade path, but they all act primarily the same other than just durability. It'd be nice to have some progression like that, or a configurable option to increase a player's specific fishing level with commands or ftb quests.
TLDR: It'd be great if you could somehow increase the size of the fishing meter other than just using the cork bobber. Preferably in a way that can be customized via datapack or applied to items.
Hmm, interesting idea. A lot of people have requested this actually. I will make a custom attribute to control this for the next update.
With version 2.3 (out now), there are several attributes added that interact with the minigame. You can use these to change the speed that fish escape, change the size of the fishing bar, change the chance of finding treasure, and change the amount of experience you get from fishing. I'm working on some documentation for these, but in the short term if you want to explain what you'd like to do, I can help you out.
Hi! Just got back from a trip and this implementation is great! Is there an example datapack of a custom bobber or bait with the attribute? My goal is to have different tiers of fishing rods (the ones from Tide) increase the size of your meter, or possibly adding some extra stuff (like the gold rod increasing treasure chance like the bobber).
I'm sorry I didn't see your comment. I don't have an example, but you can browse the wiki here for some information: https://brownbear85.github.io/stardewfishing-wiki/
