World freezes when using starlight and simply improved terrain

How to reproduce:

  1. Install Simply Improved Terrain 1.17 0.4.0.2 (https://github.com/KdotJPG/Simply-Improved-Terrain), fabric api 0.37.0 and starlight 1.0.0-RC3
  2. Make a new creative world and switch to spectator
  3. Fly around at full speed until worldgen stops and the server freezes
