What went wrong? (Crash logs don't go here)

After changing the game version with ViaFabricPlus and joining a server, blockstates appear incorrect. However, this issue does not occur if the client and server versions match. I encountered this issue when joining a lower version server from a higher version, and I have only tested from version 1.17.1 onwards. Therefore, I cannot confirm if this issue occurs in even lower versions. Attached are screenshots from the game (1.20.1 joining a 1.17.1 server):
