Mining cart destroys itself in lava

Hiya Folks,
I've found a reproducible block layout that will destroy mining carts in lava even with liquid sensors/bridge builders, etc etc with the current version of Steve's Carts at the time of this post.
The cart has a:
- Coal Engine
- Drill
- Height Controller
- Liquid Sensor
- Bridge Builder
- Railer
- Extracting Chest
Behavior is as follows:
- Cart approaches lava pool 1 block above rail.
- The railer places an upward facing rail instead of a flat rail
- Cart ascends upward facing rail and glitches into lava block and instantly destroyed.
The screenshot I included above shows the layout that has destroyed 100% of carts in 5 different tests.
