This enhancement request is to add a upgrade, for the controller that would increase the controllers range in game without config file modification. Different tiers of upgrades similar to drawer stack upgrades would still give a hard limit. The config file value would then be the base range.

Sure I can adjust the config file, but a block or upgrade would be a method to balance the increased range.

I'd slightly modify the idea. We currently have Controller Slaves. I can imagine a block similar to this except it extends the range of the controller with additional 12 blocks but only if it is placed into the already-covered range. This way if the controller run into this block, it could expand the search range originating from this block into only one direction which would depend on the facing of this block.

Or just remove the range limit. Because regardless of whether a network is 5 blocks long or 50, there is no performance difference, correct?
