I'm playing FTB Sky Oyddesy with storage drawer version 5.3.8

Like closed issue 583 but instead of it being a normal drawer, it's the compacting drawer. I can confirm this because I hooked up a bunch of drawers with a storage bus only the items in the normal drawers could be pull out but not the ones in the compacting drawers
