Not sure if this is a bug. But storage drawers recipes can only be crafted with vanilla wood drawers. For example, the upgrade template can't be crafted with a lime wood basic drawer. It can only be crafted with drawers made of oak, spruce, birch, etc.

This extends to all recipes containing any kind of wood variation block, including Trims.

The different drawers need to be oredicted as drawerBasic.

Still happening as of March, 2019.

I solved this problem through a simple minetweaker script (only works if your pack has minetweaker)
