I had world_1 with the Storage Drawers mod, using 4 2x2 drawers and a 1x1 drawer. I deleted the mods to make world_2 modless, but then re-entered world_1 forgetting i had no mods on the folder. The drawers changed to the opposite direction and where without items. Then i copied the mods back (Storage Drawers included) and entered the world, only to find that all my items where lost.
Is this entirely my fault because i deleted the mods folder? if so, how can i prevent this if i want to delete the mods folder again.
I could replicate it if its a bug.

it's not a bug. if you load a world when the mod is unavailable, then any block from the mod will gone forever. it happen with any mods, not just storage drawer. if you want to play with different profile (modded and modless or different modpacks) you might want to try different MC launcher (multiMC, curseforge, etc). it will create separate instance for each profile so world_2's profile won't show and load world_1 and vice versa.
