I don't really know how it would work, maybe a saw has to be placed in it and takes damage when microblocks are removed based on their complexity, or something along that lines, but a drawer that you could insert a block into and then be able to select any microblock available from that block and insert them back to be auto combined would be rather awesome, but understandably difficult to implement.

A few major issues, like the presence of multiple microblock systems in modded minecraft. They may not all conceptually map to the same component blocks or in the same amounts.

I don't know that I would commit to it for the main mod, but it's intriguing to have a drawer that I could pop a few full blocks into and have fast access to all parts and a place to dump the waste.

Like the "color" problem, it's an idea I'll leave on the back-burner for now.

Maybe revive this idea for 1.8+ and Chisels & Bits? That would "just" be a specialized compacting drawer and (maybe) a specialized slave-type block that allows you to take apart a Chisels & Bits block into it's components and store them in the respective drawers.

Or would you prefer that implemented as an addon?
