When using the remote upgrade, either the group or single, after attaching a drawer within the 50 block range if you leave the chunks via logging out (on server) or teleporting away the connection between the drawer either gets completely lost (in the upgrade) or becomes a ghost connection despite showing up as connected in the upgrade.

Reconnecting the drawer or reinserting the upgrade (if the connection says it was not lost on the upgrade) fixes the issue.
