I found a bug with inserting upgrades, specifically the storage upgrades, into storage drawers that results in the upgrade being destroyed.

The bug is simple to replicate with the following.

1. Spawn a storage drawer, any type, doesn't matter.

2. Give yourself 64 of a storage upgrade type, any type seems to work for this.

3. Enter the GUI for the drawer and attempt to add the stack into a single drawer's upgrade slot itself.

4. If the same storage upgrade is already in that slot, it destroys all but the one of the type you were holding.

This should be fixed across all supported versions now (For 1.20.1, this would be in the 12.13.0 beta)
