As you may guess the items in the drawers aren't gotten from those ingots in any way. I don't believe that this has to do with other mods. Also it's not a visual bug, you can take them out and put them back.

Anyway, please enable "debug logging" in the mod options, populate an empty compacting drawer with the material that gave you the wrong conversion, and paste the console output. That will provide some detail into what kind of conversions it's considering viable.
