I would like to request a config option to make the framing table not use up the blocks placed in it other than the base framed drawer itself. Mainly this would be useful for creative building, but it would also give people who prefer not having to farm for hours and hours just to decorate their base another choice as well.

Instead of a config option, how about a Creative Framing Table?

I'd rather the setting so people could choose whether it worked in survival or not. Sometimes I play harder packs and other times I'm in the mood for easy but in survival. Honestly, player choices are usually an improvement.

Sounds like a fair suggestion. I based my framing table off of how Bibliocraft handled their framing. Other mods offer painting that doesn't consume blocks.

Something to consider though (particularly with those trim blocks) is this would let someone infinitely clone a block (visually)
