Somehow when a storage cable is placed in a biome where it snows, the game crashes whenever it tries to snow and place a new snowblock, as if it doesnt see that the storage cable is there, it stops doing it if you place torches, or any light source to stop the snow from forming around the cables. http://pastebin.com/cyRpq7Cy
