Well this isn't really a problem more so something my friends and I realized as we played. We used to use a mod called Iron Chest, which we love because it allowed us to fit more stuff into smaller spaces. However, we really disliked a few things about it. The first thing was, the chests looked terrible and they did not work as we expected, Putting two together didn't work. This is when we started searching for different mods and found two we really liked, Yours and Storage Drawers. We installed both and have been using them for about a month. When we noticed we kept getting annoyed by the GUI for your chest mod. The problem is, we didn't expect it to become ultra wide, we expected it to become tall similar to Iron Chests, it just, for lack of a better phrase, feels off.

Is it possible to adjust the GUI to be more veritical so it feels more like the minecraft chest GUI

The other side effect of your GUI compared to the one provided by Iron Chest is that your GUI cuts out JEI's Overlay.

To keep in mind, I set the GUI Scale to 5 on both of these images. I usually play at Scale of 3, but for when trying to figure out why you chose the design I assumed it was to make it all fit in screen, but they both fit in screen fine.

To be honest, when posting this, I think I finally landed why we feel off with your GUI, its the lack of JEI. Because looking at them side by side now, they both look like fine GUI's. I think we are just used to having JEI.

I understand your concern. But how would you arrange a GUI like this:

Couldn't it be the same as the first image with the pink column, but instead of being a 12x9 grid it would be a 10 across and 9 down?

That would look very odd, as the players inventory is 9 across. Another problem would be the item layout after creating a double chest from a single chest, as items would be shifted by one. I think that is also the reason why the iron chests mod doesn't let you make double chests. I also don't like GUIs with 9 rows down as it exactly clips the screen on the top and the bottom, as you can see in your first image.

That is fine, like I said, I think the reason we find it odd to look at is less the layout and more of the fact it cuts out our JEI Mod.

I know what you mean, but I think it is not that important to have JEI in storage containers.

Yeah, that is why I just closed the issue. It was never really and issue and more of a way to discuss the GUI. Thank you for your time.
