[Suggestion] A few ideas I had, just wanted to pitch them to you.

As a preface, I really like how this mod looks and functions. A storage network type mod that isn't too magical or too high-tech is something I have been looking for for a long, long time. I hope that this mod continues to gain popularity, especially in modpacks that try to keep a somewhat vanilla aesthetic, and I want to contribute some ideas that might further improve the mod:
-Option to swap the bright colored parts of upgraded racks (the stone, iron, gold, diamond, or emerald "legs"). The bright colors are something I always had a gripe about with the iron chests mod, storage rooms quickly start looking like gaudily colored treasure hoards. some way of swapping out the "legs" of the racks, whether it be via config or an item, for "legs" resembling the planks that the rest of the rack is made of, or perhaps stripped logs of that wood type, would be great. Wood casing options for the controller blocks would also be great.
-Modded wood types compatibility. Having compatibility for BoP, BYG, TeamAbnormals, TeamAurora, etc. wood types would be a blessing for builders.
-Actual endering of items on racks. This may not be entirely possible or practical, but I figured it would be worth a mention. If items are stored in a particular rack, the first 8 (16? whatever you think is best) in it will render on the rack , much like the old bibliocraft mod's shelves, as opposed to the same old cake, sand, tnt, obsidian, dirt, wood button and redstone torch on every rack. If performance is an issue for some players, it could probably be switched off in the config file.
Glad you're enjoying the mod.
I might adjust the models to be a bit less bright and just show a hint of the upgrade color instead of being so in your face.
Potentially the same for the controller. but the controller models are also still WIP, so they will change most likely.
In terms of wood type compatibility, I might release addon mods in the future for the specific modded wood type additions.
And yeah, rendering would be very expensive. I'll be adding some sorting features etc in the future, and could end up using something like creative tab based textures. So you have an idea what is in it, without requiring all of the overhead.
