All The Mods 8 1.0.16 and 1.0.15 is the modpack I encountered this bug in. opening the compass for the first time was fine, but when I selected a specific village type that turned out to be >5500 blocks away, it hung the game in single player for more than 3 minutes.

Hey @butterbits , ATM dev here, ATM8 is not using this structure compass mod, as it does not have a 1.19 release, the one we are using is the one by Mrbysco, https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/structure-compass.
