(Big) mods' doors (only?) not being properly recognised by scan tool despite other wooden items having no problems...

Prerequisites

  • I am running the latest alpha version of Structurize for my Minecraft version.
  • I checked the MineColonies/Structurize wiki and made sure that my issue is not covered there.
  • I made sure that this mod compatibility issue is not a duplicate of any existing mod compatibility issue.

Context

  • Minecraft Version: 1.12.2
  • Forge Version: 14.23.5.2855
  • Structurize Version: 1.12.2-0.10.277-RELEASE
  • Related Mods and their Versions: Biomes O' Pleny Version: 7.0.1, (SugiForest: 1.4.0 - referred to but probably not relevant as it works great!)

Expected behavior

A cherry wood door placed in a decoration is scanned and should be shown in the list of resoures. Once the scan is then used using the build wand the builder should place a cherry door (Biomes O' Plenty).

Actual behavior

I have created some custom city wall sections (versions in both Sugi (SugiForst mod) and Redwood (Biomes O' Plenty mod)). For the gate section the Sugi version uses Cherry wood doors, however when I scan the section including the doors the Cherry wood doors they are not listed in the Resources needed. I ignored this because the scan tool does such a good job of even scanned flying butterflies (FamiliarFauna I think? Irrelevant) that happened to be there when I saved the scan (and requiring the Minecolonies builder to need a butterfly spawn egg!? Kinda difficult in survival) and saved the scan anyway. When I placed it with the build tool in my survival world it looked fine (including rendering the doors correctly, I think, Optifine seemed to be causing some issues with culling the front but not back block faces!?) and builder proceeded to dig out the necessary blocks and then build up to the doors... then she got stuck. She wanted Oak wood doors... wait... I put Oak doors in her inventory which did nothing, I gave her them with the request and it cameback and I told her to try again and it still stuck. I gave her Cherry doors but that didn't work either. I then placed the Oak doors myself and she wasn't happy but placing the Cherry doors made her happy and she finished the build... so clearly she understood what was supposed to be there but didn't know what they were in some form.
I then tried scanning with other Biomes O' Plenty doors and they don't work... however planks, slabs, fences, stairs, they all work fine in their Biomes O' Plenty wood versions... ditto the SugiForest ones... it's just doors. There is no SugiForest Sugi door so I couldn't try it with that I'm afraid but I tried a bunch of other mods' doors with the following not working:
Immersive Engineering
Base Metal Blocks
A Fistful of Hay
Tatami
Pam's Spooky Tree
Biomes O' Plenty
And the following do:
Structurize (Cactus door)
Fossils Revival (though the icon shown is only the bottom half of the door rather than the whole thing)
Heat and Climate (though inventory shows the item reference not the plain English name which it does have even if it is a Japanese mod!)
Vanilla Minecraft (assuming nothing has messed with thoseto make them work - though they are marked as belonging to the "Redstone" mod which is not a mod I have??)

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Place a door in a structure
  2. Scan it
  3. Click "Show Resources"
  4. Find out if these doors work or not - likely not since the bigger / more popular mods' doors seem to have more issues
  5. Assume that the problems in Minecolonies will replicate the Cherry wood ones until one has time and energy to set up a test with all these doors in one scan to figure it out and not have [redacted] cause bloody murder for messing with their survival world!

Logs

  • latest.log: Nothing but "Can't keep up!" messages... debug messages not turned on in settings... I'll do that if I can find a time to do the test.
  • crashlog: None

Notes

I realise I've made some assumptions but I'm outta time right now and thought it'd be worth reporting this as far as I have found stuff so I can add to it later if I find more and to alert you to a problem that might have been lurking even though I realise that I'm not on ALPHA (not stable enough for irrational people you need to keep happy :/ - also hence 1.12.2!)
I'm aware that the builder having problems in Minecolonies might be a seperate issue but it's probably better to get to that when we get there... :)
