Before Continuing:

• Check you are using the latest version of the mods and its dependencies
• Always include a latest.log if you are crashing
• Remove mod that enhances Minecraft: Optifine, Sodium, others. The issue persists.
• If you are unsure which mod is the culprit.
  Disable all of your mods and enable them 1-2 mods each time to isolate the culprit
• Confirm that there is no existing issue with a similar description submitted in the list of issues.

Issue Detail

When a sapling grows on a planter the planter breaks and turns into dirt. This is expected behavior when the config setting is on turning the planter into rooted dirt, it even plays a fun noise, but this happens even when it is not on. When the config setting is set to false (its default value) it turns the planter into dirt instead of rooted dirt.

This is also an issue in the 1.19 version where I first found it, but also exists in the latest version. This seems to affect the rich planter too, in 1.19.2 at least.

Reproduce:

• Place a sapling in a planter
• Apply Bonemeal
• Sapling turns into tree and planter turns into dirt
