Before Continuing:

  • Check you are using the latest version of the mods and its dependencies
  • Always include a latest.log if you are crashing
  • Remove mod that enhances Minecraft: Optifine, Sodium, others. The issue persists.
  • If you are unsure which mod is the culprit.
Disable all of your mods and enable them 1-2 mods each time to isolate the culprit

You can check lithium issue report. I will mark lithium as incompatible of that won't ever be fixed

Wait who decides which mod needs to fix it?

commented

if the bug its in their code its obviously their issue. They added a forceful check over a vanilla number that "of couse in vanilla can only have 3 values". Too bad that in a complex environment like moddded you are NOT in vanilla so theirs is a wrongful assumption. Classes can extend its behavior and use arbitrary numbers there and lithium should match vanilla in which it does not have any issue.

Why are you even questioning this?

It seems that the Lithium version of this issue has been fixed with the newest release of Lithium (1.21.1-0.14.2)
