Picnic Basket Not Integrating with Spice of Life Onion

Hello, when running SoL Onion and Supplementary mod together on MC 1.20.1, eating food out of the food basket does not add to the food book and thus doesn't affect the food diversity stat. When brought up to the SoL Onion devs, they referenced that eating out of the picnic basket does not call the event: " LivingEntityUseItemEvent.Finish "
( as referenced in CreativeMD/Spice-of-Life-Onion#38 ).
Has this been noted/addressed? If not, could this be looked into? My fiancee and I adore the picnic basket and would love to eat all our food out of it in the modpack we're playing! Thank you
