Your Question
Is it possible to get full compatibility with additional mobs being summoned by the flute?
Detail
Hello! I am currently working on a modpack which includes both Supplementaries and Domestication Innovation. DI adds several vanilla mobs to the tamable list, including frogs, axolotls, and rabbits. By adding the flute_pet
tag to these mobs, I was able to bind them to the flute to be summoned to the player. However, they are only being summoned when bound, whereas an unbound flute seems to be summoning only tamed cats and dogs, not any other mobs (even ones that can be tamed in vanilla, like horses). Is there a way to make it so flutes will summon any pet of which you are the owner? Or is that not something Supplementaries currently has an option for?
So I'm not a fan of them unbound behaviour. I'll likely make them so they can be bound to multiple pets and remove the unboun behaviour so they can be played for music without side effects. Only thing remains, the bound one would teleport stuff regardless if it was sitting or not so the teleport when sitting will liley go too
Thanks for the quick reply! In that case, I'll just set the unbound radius to 0 to disable that feature for now. Personally, I like the option to summon sitting pets, but I can see how it would be beneficial to be able to do it either way. Maybe something like a second flute item, or using a modified keybind like Right-Click to summon non-sitting pets and Shift + Right-Click to include sitting ones, or even a config option to choose how you want to use it (though that would still lock the player into one or the other without reloading the config).
