Before Continuing:

  • Always check you are using the latest version of the mods and its dependencies
  • Remove known problematic rendering mods such as Optifine, Sodium and others. Do NOT report issues related to said mods
  • If you are unsure which mod is the culprit.
Disable half your mods at time until you isolate the culprit
  • If you have a crash ALWAYS post LATEST.LOG below
  • If the issue is about behaviors be sure to consult the WIKI first

Log should say what is wrong. There might be an error in them. Also you sure your text editor app is closed? Close game edit config close text edit, open game

I am configurating using the Better Config Screen mod.

Here is the log though:

Did you click on save button? Try editing with text editor

commented

I did it through the text editor and it worked! Yipee. But some weird incompatibility with Better Config Button then.

I suggest using configured or forge config screen by fuzs. Configured has many nice eyecandies I made for it but might not be on latest

commented

And that second one doesn't have issues so the problem is very likely theirs

Oh woops. I got the name wrong. I thought it was Better Config Screen but it was Forge Config Screen by Fuzs.
I just swapped the names with Fuzs' Better Mods Button.

Hello, this is my first time ever posting in Github so I apologize if I do this incorrectly... But I wanted to chime in that I have had the same issue on 1.19.2 Forge. Attempting to save changes to common.toml in-game via the menu provided by Configured did not save the changes upon reload of the game. The changes would only persist for the session upon which I was playing. (I observed this when attempting to toggle on/true the ability to shift-click timber frames.)

If I changed a setting in common.toml from Configured's menu on the game main menu, I observed that it would persist upon re-launch of the game. However, but this changed setting would never reflect upon loading my world. I ultimately had to manually edit the common.toml of my world with a text editor for the change to stick.

I tested with other another afterward to see if changing any settings would take (in this case switching Planter "Broken by Sapling" to false) and the settings still did not persist beyond world save and quit.
