That's really it, tamed wolves won't seem to start running onto treadmills. Real issue with mods that add dimensions where wolves or pigs don't spawn.

Tamed wolves work fine with current version (2.1.1). They can't be sitting when you right click the treadmill.

Unless said wolves are from another mod.
