Immersive portal Tardis door problem

Issue description
Immersive portals works fine when opening the Tardis doors from the interior and when I walk out. I can close the doors and open them straight away from the exterior and it will still work however as soon as I close the doors and walk away for no more than a few seconds and re open the doors its just black. The immersive portal wont load again until i go back inside and close and re open the doors. I removed all other mods but the 2 and it still does it. I retried this with the AIT Tardis and there's no problems. The only thing I can think of is my pc video card is Nvidia and I always get a warning message when loading immersive portals and maybe that's causing problems with this mod specifically. (I'm no computer guy so its just a guess please don't roast me lol) It's not unplayable, It doesn't crash etc. but it's a bit annoying. Thankyou for taking the time to read and any help would be appreciated :)
Steps to reproduce
Make a Tardis,
Place a console, provide power and fuel etc.
Open the doors
Walk out
Shut Tardis doors
Walk away
Come back
Re open Tardis doors
