Some ideas for Malum integrations I had:

Malignant Pewter material (or modifier):
Adds malignant conversion to armor.
Adds a 20% chance to deal double damage for tools/weapons.

Conscious:
Cosmetic modifier made with a Fused Consciousness that turns the item into a Void Item (funny particles in the inventory)

Soulstone Material (Binding only):
Makes the tool magic and soul shatter capable.

Scythe enchantments for tinker's scythes as abilities/upgrades.

Ritual that increases smeltery temperature and smelting speed (Soulwood version increases output from melting mobs)

Originally I was going to make this my own mod, so I might attempt to do this as a Pull Request - but I'm posting this here first.

@AtobaAzul I worked on the current integration with the Malum author. What you've presented isn't exactly in line with the integration goals, as it is extra stuff not in Malum. Additionally, some of the concepts don't fit with new versions of TCon, as they are 1.12 type features (like the fuel for example, TCon 3 mods don't add fuel). The goal of this mod is to implement things that are available in the base mode tools/weapons that should exist on Tinkers' tools/weapons. Give me a chance to talk to the author and see what he thinks and I'll get back to you on this issue. Lots of good ideas here, just need to see what we can do.

Alright, i've been experimenting with this some more in my modpack, and this is what I've come up with so far:

New Modifiers:

  • Spirit Hunter: Ability modfier that allows tools to collect spirits. (Costs 4 Soulstone and 1 Soulstone Block)
  • Soul Warded: Stackable Armor modifier that adds 1 soul ward capacity and 5% recovery rate per level. (Costs 3 soulstained steel plating per level)
  • Malignant (Armor/Shield): Ability modifier that adds 25% malignant conversion to armors. (Costs 3 malignant pewter plating)
  • Malignant (Tools): Ability modifier that adds 20% chance to deal double damage.

Soul Stained Steel changes:

  • Has 3 levels of Soul Warded by default (Description mentions it should have soul ward - or something - already, but there's no soul stained steel armor parts nor does it actually give soul ward.)
  • Has Spirit Hunter on tool parts by default.
  • Soul Stained no longer does spirit shatter. Remove soul stained modifier recipe.

Other stuff, like scythe enchants as abilities and ritual are tbd honestly (mostly because I have no idea how to make it)
