Insulated copper cable isn't connecting to the dot side of the battery box.

Steps to Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

• First Step - Craft a battery box
• Second Step Put battery box next to generator
  Third Step Click on it with wrench until dot faces down.
  Fourth Step Place insulated copper cable

Not connecting to a Battery Box nor an MFE, not even a cable issue, tin, copper, gold, doesn't matter, doesn't want to connect to these energy storage cubes. >.<

Update: The cables don't want to connect to anything, not even solars and machines. O.o

Version of TR is 1.12.2-2.27.1.1076 which is the latest. So...

Ok, success! I went digging though all the RC and TC config files, discovered RC has a Power.dfg that had Enable FE Support" set to false. So I set that to true and cut/pasted selected_energy.json to let it regen, now the cables seem to be working. So yay!
