No, this is correct.

1. TR is based on GT1 in which the assembler only had 2 slots
2. This is not a bug but a fully intended feature as all recipes only have two inputs as well.
3. This is a standalone mod, completely detached from GT

Assembling machine has 2 slots
Autocrafting table has 9 slots
