Machines Essential for TechReborn Progression & Understanding

Hello!
We just installed TechReborn on the TechnologyAdvanced II modpack, which I handle myself. I have played around with TechReborn briefly before, but not in the detail I need now.
First of all, we're using IC2 Classic Experimental by Speiger. Because of this, we don't have the Forge Hammer so desperately needed by TechReborn. Luckily, Immersive Engineering is taking on the burden of a Plate Bending Machine. Plate Bending Machines would be great. Progression is also paused because of the Assembling Machine. There's no recipe (Unless it's hidden by NEI and there's also a Conveyor Module in existence), and if cheated in no recipes to make things needed for AESU, Circuit Boards etc don't work. It's practically a useless machine, and needs to be worked on. This may be caused to the fact we're using IC2 Classic Experimental, which is 100% Understandable. Long Story short, support without IC2 Experimental and/or for IC2 Classic is needed. Too many people are using it, and it's very unfortunate to see that this issue is a constant struggle that needs to be fixed. Thanks!
I think porting the current 1.8 version of TechReborn to 1.7.10 will be helpful. Most people won't be using this mod with 1.8, but 1.7.10, as IC2 is still on 1.7.10 - 1.8 and 1.7 versions should be released and updated at the same time with the same stuff. It seems to me that that's one of the main issues with recipes?
I strongly suggest using IC2 exp + uncomplication instead of ic2 classic
This would avoid a lot of problems
That's a great idea - the only issue is Uncomplication is pretty crap for what we're accomplishing. It interferes with some of our other mods. That would be ideal, but I love my IC2 Classic
Thanks for the suggestion tho!
Porting the 1.8 version back to 1.7 is not practical at all. It would be easier to cherry pick features to use for 1.7 from 1.8. Also i don't understand what things you would want from the 1.8 version. From my understanding the 1.8 branch is just a proof of concept and no additional features have been added to it if anything things are missing. The issue with recipes is that Tech Reborn relies on IC2 for its recipes, there has been some debate about whether there should be recipes without IC2 and it came down to (From my understanding) Tech Reborn is an IC2 addon, That being said it launches without IC2 for modpack creators to add their own recipes for the items and machines. I am unsure if there is a recipe module for IC2 Classic but it wouldn't be hard to make one.
Porting commits is fine, 1.7 and 1.8 should be equal in features. They are not because i'm being lazy. At some point we need to sit down and and the recipes so people will stop complaining about no recipes. It is still helpful for people to open issues with their ideas.
@Mattabase and @gigabit101 said they are working on it. I've got a couple of days off so I can see what I can do to help.
Right there will be some bug fix's and recipe fix's for 1.7.10 coming soon but after that I will be moving to getting the 1.8 version running on its own with Ic2/Classic recipes still available in the config. 1.7.10 is coming to the end of its life so moving to 1.8 is what needs to be done
See #338 for 1.7 things ^^^
