It appears the semifluid generator is client crashing anytime a non-TechReborn fluid is inputting into it. Examples are vanilla's water and lava and forestry's ethanol. This happens in SMP and SSP and can be reproduced with TechReborn, RebornCore and Forge only.

I'm using the following:

Forge 2046
TechReborn 1.4.0.41 (jenkins build)
RebornCore 2.6.2.15 (jenkins and curseforge match)
on Minecraft 1.10.2
