1.11 - breaking a machine only gives a machine block back

Latest Forge and latest version of Tech Reborn for 1.11.
Problem: When I use a pickaxe on a machine I only get a machine block back.
Expected: To get the machine back so I can move it somewhere else.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
