Hitbox of Catterpillar tracks on loader+bulldozer wider than the scoop/shovel on the front

The Hitbox on the dozer blades is narrower than the tracks of the vehicles. This causes them to unintentionally roll over things that they should be scooping up. See pictures 1 and 2. The scoop will miss but the wheels won't.

Yeah this will be a hard nut to crack.
Bounding boxes in MC are Square in shape not rectangular so if i want the bounding box to be that long then it needs to be this long too.

I may be able to bump it in a little bit to make it slightly smaller so its less likely to run up the sides of something the blade missed.

What about a few really small square hitboxes at the 4 corners of the blades and going up the sides?

good idea but it wouldn't help the problem is because the buldozer breaks a 5 block wide path but its about 5 blocks wide.. .making it hard to keep inside the path it cuts..

I often place the blade down and back up when digging down.
Something i've seen some real drivers do before.

Thought of something else. Minecraft keeps track of which direction models/ entities are facing, so maybe an if statement that increases the path width to 6 when the dozer is travelling diagonally

models & hitboxes changed in newest release.
There will still be cases where they do not align exactly due to issues noted above but most are now easier to drive.
