Tectonic's Current Beaches
Even outside of Stony Shores, Tectonic often has quite abrupt beaches with significant sand piled high above the waterline. Vanilla does this at times as well, but it can significantly alter the character of beaches into "that pile of sand fifteen meters above the waterline", from being a flat expanse of sand one might normally find on a beach. Example screenshot of this below, made using 2.4.2 Tectonic on 1.21.1
Additionally, even the flattest Tectonic beaches are often flat only several meters above the waterline, which does not help the feeling of being "a pile of sand by the waterline" rather than feeling like an actual beach. Example screenshot of this below, made using 2.4.2 Tectonic on 1.21.1
This makes beaches feel less like coastlines and more like a transitory biome stuck in there so that it's not forest (or similar) directly up against the ocean, which is very much not ideal for coastlines
Proposed Beach Shape
The addition of a shelf of sand to some beaches (and possibly to Stony Shores cliffs at their base, similar to the gravel beaches that form below cliffs) would greatly help to alleviate the issues with beaches looking like sand lumps on shores.
Something repeatably like the below image (source: here) would be ideal for these beaches, as I've found no other mod or datapack which can reliably create this kind of flat beach - even if they're only 10 meters wide rather than 30-40 like the example below. Tectonic's terrain is top-tier and having the inclusion of flat tidal zones would be incredible!
Provides a region of space for you to run into animals, monsters or cobblemon, obviously depends what you're playing. Possibly build as well. This could be amazing.
