When inspecting a log pile using the debug screen, the axis blockstate shows "false" for log piles facing in the x direction, or "true" for log piles facing in the z direction. While there are only two values for axis, "true" and "false" are not the best names, and should probably be replaced with "x" and "z" for more consistency with logs. Alternatively, the axis blockstate can be scrapped entirely and replaced with a "facing" blockstate, which can be set to face north, east, south or west.
