The ability to disable stone anvils would allow setting copper as the lowest anvil tier in modpacks without having to change all recipes that can be made on tier 0 anvils to be tier 1 or higher, or, even if that was done, to not have a stupid stone anvil block hanging around that players can accidentally make/confuse themselves with/use as a non collapsing block instead of following intended modpack progression.
