Reasoning: players use grass paths and farmland interchangeably with dirt / grass, as they are made from the latter. It's surprising then, when collapses happen due to (essentially), removing a block causing a support check to fail. Both of these have valid reasons to still count as supporting side blocks, from a usability standpoint.
