It seems that many black dyed items are missing recipes that other colored items do have. For some items, while other colors can be crafted in a crafting table with the dye item, the black items can only be crafted with liquid dye. Some black items are missing recipes outright. Here's the ones I noticed:
Craftable with only liquid dye even though other colors can be crafted with the dye item:
-Black wool
-Black terracotta
-Black bed
Missing crafting recipe:
-Black stained glass
