[1.18.2] Cooking in forge overwrites salted modifier on meat

Cooking salted raw meat in a forge with charcoal fuel applies charcoal grilled but removes the salted modifier, leading to a significantly lower preservation time.
Unsure if intended implementation or bug that the two modifiers cannot co-exist in this instance.
