The vanilla powered rail recipe for 6 powered rails can accept terrafirmacraft gold ingots, and can therefore be crafted, leading to significantly fewer rails (6 rails for 6 gold ingots rather than 16 rails for 3 ingots). Normal rails have their vanilla recipe removed, which is what I would expect to happen for powered rails as well.
