Just noticed that an anvil ate one of my brass rods whilst I was forging more blowpipes.

I first crafted an ingot into two rods, then instantly put the rods into the forging slot and forged the blowpipe, one of the brass rods was voided

Nevermind, I updated my TFC and the brass rod items appeared split on the anvil
