Something that I noticed is that small flowers have no texture rendered for their tops. Is this intentional?

Yeah, that's because it's winter. Note that in-world, the flowers will bloom in the tropics regardless of season. We could have a custom renderer or something for the field guide, or consider just using a picture for the kaolin entry
