I spent about 15-25 irl minutes trying to melt wolframite into tungsten using the blast furnace, I had two bellows that I was pumping non-stop and it just wouldn't melt, after breaking the blast furnace to reclaim the ore I found them all to be a brilliant white, they should have been ready to melt at that point but did not, is this intended behavior?
