The entry mentions the Crimson Rites but doesn't actually require the Thaumaturge to know anything about the Crimson Cult to unlock. The only unlock for the entry is having scanned Void Stone, which can be stumbled upon in the overworld.

Maybe that should be a hidden requirement?
