Rift focus not forking correctly when used with impetus conductor

I've noticed that the rift focus doesn't work correctly on certain blocks, but only when using a gauntlet with an impetus conductor attached, instead of creating a tunnel, as it should, it just does that one block, I've only noticed this in the twilight forest, that being said, I haven't used it as much in the overworld, haven't tested it with the other gauntlets that can be augmented, but i know an unaugmented voidseer's gauntlet works where one with a conductor doesn't.
I could not reproduce this - I went to a freshly generated twilight forest, and the rift focus worked properly both with and without the augmented gauntlet. I'll need your full mod list, as something may be interfering here.
It's not happening everywhere in the twilight forest, just in certain areas, in certain directions.

I know the conductor does increase the distance the rift goes (because it increases power), would it running into a disallowed zone in the twilight forest cause that? I know there's something that prevents breaking stuff in areas you're not supposed to be in yet, so maybe it has something to do with that.
I'm going to assume that this was just the TF forced progression thing interfering, if you can replicate this without that being involved then let me know.
